WYTHE PLANS 3 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATIONS

Wythe County's three high schools will hold their graduations on three different nights, for the second time in two years.

The George Wythe High School graduation date in Wytheville is tentatively set for May 19, depending on the availability of the speaker being sought. Rural Retreat High School will have its graduation May 21 and Fort Chiswell High School, May 22, the last day of school.

The dates were announced at the county School Board meeting Wednesday. The board also approved next year's school calendar, which will bring students back to the classroom Aug. 22. The calendar has seven snow days built in and has the 1991-92 year ending May 28.
