WASHINGTON, D.C. - Mr. Elwood Goode, age 74, of 1327 Apt. No. 105 Euclid Street, passed away Monday, April 8, 1991 at Howard Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He was born in Franklin County April 22, 1916 to the late Daniel Good and Annie Muse Goode. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and retired from Walter Reed Hospital after 30 years service. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elvernow Holland, Cambridge, Mass.; Mrs. Enolar Callands, Rocky Mount; three brothers, Mrs. Calvin Otis Goode and Mrs. Alphonso Goode, both of Rocky Mount; and Mrs. Jesse Ben Goode, Sr., Martinsville. A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Goode Family Cemetery, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends at Hairston Funeral Home Thursday night from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and other times at a sister, Mrs. Enolar Callands, Route 3, Rocky Mount.
