Mrs. Emma B. Shelton, age 88, of Roanoke, died Thursday in a local hospital. She was a retired employee of Double Envelope Corp. and a member of Villa Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, J.T. and Faye Dews, Roanoke; a granddaughter, Kathy D. Singletary, Salem; a grandson, Richard T. Dews, Roanoke; a great-grandson, Geoffrey Singletary; two sisters, Mrs. W.F. Tickle, Roanoke; Kathleen Kidd, Buffalo, N.Y.; one brother, Rev. G.C. Bentley, West Point. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Sherwood Burial Park, 2:00 p.m. Friday with the Rev. J. Landon Maddex officiating. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
