DESERT STORM 300 AT FCS ON SATURDAY

Tony McGuire will be out to make it two in a row Saturday night when Franklin County Speedway honors U.S. troops with the Desert Storm 300.

All military personnel in uniform or with military identification will be admitted free.

McGuire won last Saturday night's 50-lap Late Model Stock race and the $2,500 prize before one of the largest opening-race crowds in the speedway's history.

The event also features racing in the Modified/Six-Cylinder, Mini Stock, Street Stock, Rookie and Any Car divisions.

General admission is $5, and children under 10 are admitted free. Gates open at noon, and racing starts at 8 p.m. - Staff report
