DOMINION FILES SUIT AGAINST DEVELOPER

Dominion Bank has filed suit against developer William Price to collect $19,476 from a 1987 loan.

The suit, filed in Montgomery County Circuit Court April 9, also names Price's wife, Peggy.

Dominion lent the Prices $42,000, according to the court papers. The bank also is seeking interest and attorney's fees. Price, owner of Price Real Estate, is the developer of the South Park commercial complex and owner of the Holiday Inn, both in Blacksburg.

Last month, the federal Resolution Trust Corp. filed three judgments against Price and other actions totaling nearly $900,000. The money is the balance on loans from CorEast Bank in 1988. The federal agency took over CorEast after determining the bank had insufficient funds to operate soundly.
