COMEDY OPENS TONIGHT AT E&H

Emory & Henry College drama students will perform "The Man Who Came to Dinner" tonight and Saturday at 8 p.m. in Wiley Hall. Admission is free.

The play by the comedy writing team of George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart had its premier in 1939. It became a movie in 1941 with Monte Woolley, Bette Davis, Ann Sheridan and Jimmy Durante.

The plot involves a radio personality who is injured at a home where he was invited to dinner. He stays at the home to recuperate and become an increasingly obnoxious guest.

Jay Couk, a student fronm Warrenton, plays the unwelcome guest. Richard Pfau and Kathleen Reuter Chamberlain, college faculty members, play the reluctant hosts.
