The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors may not discuss a trucking company's proposal to haul garbage to the new landfill at Smith Gap until it meets again as the Roanoke County Resource Authority. Although the authority members also serve as the Board of Supervisors, the board's clerk said they won't meet again as the resource authority until the second or fourth Tuesday in June. But Supervisor Harry Nickens, chairman of the resource authority, said there could be a called meeting anytime.
Story ran in Metro and NRV editions.
