COMMUNITY CHORUS OFFERS SPRING PROGRAM

The New River Valley Community Chorus, directed by Lynn Loftus, will present its spring program of choral music designed for the Lenten and Easter seasons at the Presbyterian Church of Pulaski Sunday at 3 p.m.

The program will be repeated on Monday in Radford at Central United Methodist Church at 8 p.m. and at Dublin United Methodist Church Tuesday at 8 p.m.

"The Seven Last Words of Christ," a Lenten cantata by Theodore Dubois, will be featured by the chorus. Works by Bach, Mendelssohn, and Haydn will be blended with more recent songs, including "Glorious Everlasting" by M. Thomas Cousins and spirituals arranged by Jester Hairston.
