TECH SUPERDANCE RAISES $2,300 FOR MDA

Virginia Tech staged its first annual Superdance to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association this month and raised more than $2,300.

The dance was held in the War Memorial Gym, and dancers solicited pledges from individuals and organizations. Other related activities also contributed money to the amount raised.

Jennifer Rackley, an Alpha Phi Omega member, was chairwoman of the event.

The proceeds will be used to provide free services to adults and children in Southwest Virginia with muscular dystrophy. A summer camp will also be funded.
