MORRIS WINS 35-LAP FEATURE

Philip Morris of Charlottesville won his second straight 35-lap Late Model feature in the Desert Storm 200 Friday night at Natural Bridge Speedway.

Morris held off Tim Stalnaker of Natural Bridge, who finished second. Gerald Wolfe of Covington, the defending track champion, finished third.

Spyder Benson of Waynesboro won the Six-Cylinder race, David Ruley of Lexington won the 25-lap Street Stock, Gray Peery of Hot Springs won the 25-lap Mini Stock for the second straight week, Joe Bryant of Natural Bridge won the Rookie race, J.W. Lipscomb won the Family Car race and Buzzy Cooper of Lexington won the Any Car race.

Racing returns to the speedway Friday night for the Tombstone Pizza 200, featuring a $500 to the Street Stock race winner and double points in all divisions.

General admission is $5 and children under 10 are free. - Staff report
