BUDAPEST QUINTET PERFORMANCE CLOSES CHAMBER MUSIC SEASON

The Budapest Brass Quintet will perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Olin Hall.

The concert is sponsored by the Roanoke Valley Chamber Music Society and will bring to a close the society's 1990-91 performance series.

The program includes works by Jean Joseph Mouret, Ludwig Maurer, Antal Farkas, Dmitri Shostakovich and Malcolm Arnold, among others.

The quintet was formed in 1975 by graduates of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. Its members are principals with the Hungarian State or Budapest Symphony Orchestras. They are Pal Petz and Istvan Palotai, trumpets; Imre Magyari, horn; Ferenc Koczias, trombone; and Laslo Szabo, tuba.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens. They can be bought at the door or reserved by calling the Olin box office at 375-2333.

A reception will follow the concert.
