OBIT - PRESTON, R.

Ruby Shrader Preston, age 74, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Rocky Gap, Va., died Friday in a Florida hospital. She was born in Bland County, a daughter of the late Joseph WaTson Shrader and Bessie Alderman Shrader. She was a charter member of Rocky Gap O.E.S. No. 154 and was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Shrader and sisters, Pauline Hutchinson and Dorothy Gilly. She is survived by her husband, R. G. Preston of Tampa; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Lucas of Manassas, Va.; and Mrs. Kaye Thompson of Rocky Gap; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Rocky Gap United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Ramey officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memory gardens, Bluefield, W. Va. the family will receive friends at the church from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday. Newberry Funeral Home in Bland is in charge of the arrangements.
