JoAnne and Barry Mills are announcing the engagement of her sister Debra L. Pappas to Kenneth Assenat.

Debra is the daughter of Mrs. Katie Lankford of Roanoke and the late Joe R. Lankford, Sr. She is a 1979 graduate of Cave Spring High School and is employed by Salem Bank and Trust.

Kenny is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Assenat of Roanoke. He is a 1982 graduate of Patrick Henry High School and is employed by American General Life and Casualty.

A July 6th, 1991 wedding is planned.
