WHITING-CAMPER
The marriage of Miss Sarah Constance Camper to Geoffrey Michael Whiting,
Lieutenant j.g., United States Navy, took place Sunday, April 7, in the
Fincastle Presbyterian Church. The reception was held at the Buchanan
Community House. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Peggy Camper Davis of
Fincastle and Mr. Clemer Spencer Camper of Daleville. Lieutenant Whiting is
the son of Ms. Ann Marie Whiting of Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Dr. James Walsh
Whiting of Beaverton, Oregon. The Rev. Dr. Edgar C. Mayse officiated. Mrs.
Carol Camper Snyder of Roanoke, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Mrs.
Cathy Camper Goad of Lynchburg and Mrs. Clemmer Ann Allen of Spotsylvania,
sisters of the bride, were also attendants. Miss McKinley Goad of Lynchburg,
niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid, and Master Kyle Allen of
Spotsylvania, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer. Samuel Whiting of Lake
Oswego, Oregon, brother of the groom, was best man. Joe Camper of Chicago,
brother of the bride, and Marc Henrie of Cambridge, Massachusetts, were
groomsmen. The bride is a graduate of James Madison University and the groom
is a graduate of Wesleyan University, Connecticut. The bride will live in
Richmond while Lieutenant Whiting is on active duty.
