HOWARD ANNIVERSARY

Dorothy and Harvey Howard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 7. The celebration was held at their son's home and was hosted by their children. The couple were married on April 7, 1941. She is the former Dorothy Lovern. Their children are Emory Howard, of Blacksburg, Darlene Howard, of Dublin, Carol Wingo, of Catawba, and Delmer Howard, of Ironto. They have 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Howard was a local plasterer and was retired from V.P.I. Mrs. Howard is retired from V.P.I. Food Service. 35 friends and family members attended the celebration as well as her sister, Odell McCulley, Jim McCulley, and friend, Opel, from Wilmington, Delaware.
