CAPITALIZE ON CITY'S HIGHWAY PROXIMITY

INTERSTATE 81 comes through Roanoke, and the Blue Ridge Parkway runs along the edge of the city limits. Roanoke is the only city in Virginia with this proximity to these important highways. Roanoke is also near the midway point on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

This means thousands or millions of travelers and tourists will pass through or by Roanoke. What is in Roanoke will determine how many of them will stop and spend some time and money in Virginia. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the entire state that a refurbished hotel Roanoke and convention center and a great theme park be completed as soon as practicable. JAMES V.
