Douglas C. Lucas, 67, of Colonial Heights, Va., died Friday, April 12, 1991. A native of Roanoke, Va., he was the son of the late Charlie Matthew and Flora Wimmer Lucas. Mr. Lucas was the vice-president of the Teamsters Union, Local 101, in Hopewell, Va. He served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II and was a member of the V. F. W. Robert E. Lee Post #2239. He is survived by his wife, Dora Madeline Lucas; three sons, Donald Lee Lucas of Roanoke; Douglas Charles Lucas of Springfield; and Lawrence C. Lucas of Edwardsville, Ill.; three sisters, Oneida Booker of Moneta; Mary Williams of Salem; and Cecilia Snyder of Bedford County; two brothers, Terry L. Lucas of Garden City; and Rev. Burrell F. Lucas of Raleigh, N. C.; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. V. F. W. services will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, Colonial Heights. Visitation will follow. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Oakey's Funeral Home, North Chapel, Roanoke, Va. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
