COVINGTON MAN KILLED IN TRUCK ACCIDENT

A 57-year-old Covington man died Sunday when his pickup truck ran off Interstate 64 in Alleghany County and struck a culvert.

Junior Roosevelt Persinger, of the 300 block of South Dalton Street, was pronounced dead shortly after the 2:25 p.m. accident.

An autopsy has been requested to determine the cause of death.
