CHRISTIANSBURG TEAM WINS GOLD MEDAL

The Christiansburg Demons Special Olympics Basketball Team won the gold medal for first place in their division in the state games in March. The teams are divided into divisions by ability.

The Demons defeated two teams to win the championship. These wins combined with the two wins at the area competition held at Virginia Tech makes the Demons record 4-0.

Team members are Jackie Woolwine, Bryant Collins, Jo Beth Rogers, John Byrd, Tonya Pyles, Ray Thorton and Loretta Snyder. Coaches are Debbie Rose and Bev Biancur. Sponsors are Gail Montouri, Kim Eveline and Mollie Prillamin.
