CLAYTOR LAKE MARKS EARTH ACTION MONTH

Did you know that April is Earth Action Month and that Earth Day is scheduled for Sunday? Claytor Lake State Park will observe both events Sunday with a number of events.

Park entrance fees will be waived Sunday to encourage visits and park officials will accept aluminum cans brought to the park on Earth Day. Money collected from the cans will be used to buy trees to will be placed around the recently remodeled beach bath house.

A dogwood tree-planting ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Park guests will be given trash bags as they enter and are invited to help in the cleanup. Call 674-5492 for information.
