FAIRGROUNDS TO HOST VALLEY HORSE SHOW

The New River Valley Horse Show will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25, at the New River Valley Fairgrounds.

This year's show will include 97 classes, the largest ever. A Saturday morning show will feature Western horses and an "Open Mule Race" is set for Saturday at 6 p.m.

The numbers to call for horse and class information are:

Walking and Racking Horses: Danny Anderson, 980-5825.

Western: Richard White, 980-7761.

Saddlebred: Emily Kelly, 637-3298 or 637-3118.

Stall reservations may be made by calling Bud or Betty Walsh at 674-5421.

A current 12-month negative Coggins certificate must be presented at the fairground entrance gate before any horse will be admitted.
