`HEARTLANDS' RECEPTION SET AT ABINGDON HOUSE

A community exhibition and reception for the authors and photographers who produced the book "Heartlands" will be held Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Abingdon's historic Penn House.

The reception is sponsored by the William King Regional Arts Center and town of Abingdon. There is no charge.

Arthur Klonsky and Jane Sobel left a successful New York commercial photography business to spend 18 months on the roads of rural America. They traveled 57,000 miles and shot 37,000 pictures.
