RADFORD GOLFERS FIFTH IN BIG SOUTH

Augusta (Ga.) College won the Big South Conference men's golf championship for the fifth time in seven years Tuesday.

The Jaguars, who will leave the Big South this summer to join the Division II Peach Belt Conference, recorded a 54-hole total of 898 to edge host Campbell University by four strokes.

Radford finished fifth at 917.

Trevor Gliwski of Coastal Carolina was medalist at 1-over-par 217. Andy Achenbach and Greg Sayers of Radford each finished 10 shots back.

Matt Mankin was the highest Augusta finisher with a final-round 78 for a 221 total. The senior from Lord Botetourt High in Daleville, Va., made the all-conference team. - Staff report
