ARTHUR MILLER PLAY DESERVED REVIEW

ON APRIL 3, I was fortunate enough to see the production of "All My Sons" by the Acting Company. I was amazed at the relevancy of the material, written in 1947 and dealing with the responsibility that people have who are involved in war. It also deals wonderfully with idealism and realism.

No one from your staff reviewed this production. That was such a loss to the members of the community who depend on your publication to alert them to quality in art. The performances were uniformly excellent and the set was wonderfully done.

This group have dedicated themselves to bringing alternative theater to the Roanoke Valley. I am confident that I would not have had a chance to see this work by Arthur Miller had it not been for their commitment to drama. I am so sorry that others did not know about the opportunity because of your decision not to review the play. H. KAREN CLARIS ROANOKE

Editor's note: We normally review The Acting Company's productions, but because of conflicts, neither of our theater reviewers could attend.
