Mrs. Eva English Parcell, age 89, of Route 2, Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, April 17, 1991 in a local nursing home. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Parcell. She was a life long member of Beulah Baptist Church and was affiliated with Franklin Memorial Hospital for 18 years. She was very active in 4-H and home demonstration work. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Julia P. Kelly, Roanoke; Mrs. Ruth P. Gills, Newport News; two sons, W.H. (Billy) Parcell, Jr.; and Robert E. (Bobby) Parcell, both of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Myrtle E. Motley, Danville; Christine E. Tyree, Rocky Mount; one brother, George W. English, Rocky Mount; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a special nephew, C. Noell Parcell; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in Lynch Chapel with the Rev. T. Ivey Adams, Jr. and Dr. Joe R. Bryant officiating. Intombment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. Thursday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and other times at the residence of Billy and Ann Parcell. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Beulah Baptist Church Organ Fund or a charity of ones choice.
