Nellie Arehart Sandridge, age 85, died Tuesday, April 16, 1991 at Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility. Born June 27, 1905 at Middlebrook, Va., she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Mary Margaret Sensabaugh Arehart. She was the widow of Charles William Sandridge and was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and John L. Gilbert, Natural Bridge; son and daughter-in-law, Charles M. and Helen S. Sandridge, Raphine; foster son and daughter-in-law, Babe M. and Betty Jean Swisher, Staunton, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Cloie A. Swisher, Rockbridge Bath; Mrs. Una A. Lotts, Staunton; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three foster grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the New Providence Presbyterian Cemetery with Dr. John J. Lewis and Rev. Glen M. Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
