BURN, JAMES W.

Mr. James William Burn, age 87, died Tuesday, April 16, 1991, at the Springfield Comprehensive Care Center in Lindside, W.Va. Mr. Burn was born February 7, 1904, in Chester, Pa. and was preceded in death by his father, John Howarth Burn, mother, Lydia Jeanette Wood Burn, and his first wife, Eva Virginia Justis Burn. Mr. Burn was retired from the F.M.C. Company in Front Royal, Va. where he was an electrical supervisor. Mr. Burn was a member of the Unity Masonic Lodge No. 146 in Front Royal, Va. where he was a Past District Deputy Grandmaster; a member of the Intermont Lodge No. 269 in Narrows, Va.; Giles Lodge No. 106, Pearisburg, Va.; a member of the Hiram Royal Arch Chapter No. 45, Front Royal, Va., where he was a Past District Deputy Grand High Priest and was a holder of the John Dove Award; and a member of the Pearisburg Royal Arch Chapter No. 29, Pearisburg, Va. Mr. Burn was a member of the Commandry No. 12, Knights Templar, Winchester, Va., and a member of the Front Royal Chapter No. 6 Order of the Eastern Star where he was a Past Worthy Patron. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel H. Burn, Narrows, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret J. and Thurman E. Yost, Burgettstown, Pa.; two sons and daughters-in-law, James W. Burn Jr. and wife, Genie Burn, Sunnyvale, Calif.; Jack T. Burn and wife, Mary B. Burn, Ripplemead, Va.; eight grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth J. Burn and Jennifer Ann T. Burn, Ripplemead, Va.; Terry Yost, William Yost and David Yost, all of Burgettstown, Pa.; Pam Marino of Oceanside, Calif.; John Burn and James Burn III, both of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 1991, at 2:00 p.m. at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Chapel in Front Royal, Va. with the Rev. Richard Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal. A Masonic service will be held Thursday evening, April 18, at 6:30 at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, Va. with visitation following from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A visitation will be held Friday evening, April 19, at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home, Front Royal, Va., from 6:00 to 9:00.
