Violet Grace Sparks (Jackie) Hollyfield, age 71, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 1991, at the Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport, Tenn. She was a member of the Wise County Church of Christ and a volunteer worker for the Leukemia Foundation for many years. Survivors include her husband, D. B. Hollyfield, Jr., Wise; one son, Daniel B. Hollyfield, III, Columbia, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Otho (Margaret) Craft, Jr., Wise, Va.; Mrs. Thomas L. (Jean) Weaver, Marion, Va.; and Marjorie H. Mize, Beckley, W. Va.; two brothers, Roy Sparks, Pound, Va.; Paul Sparks, Pennington Gap, Va.; one sister, Madge S. Powers, Kingsport, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Wise County Church of Christ with the Evangelist Gene A. Landis officiating. Entombment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Va. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise.
