OPEN AUDITIONS SET FOR TWO TECH SHOWS

Virginia Tech's Theatre Arts-University Theatre will hold open auditions today and Friday for two shows slated to run during the summer season. Auditions are open to anyone and begin at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Building on the Virginia Tech Campus.

Theatre Arts Associate Professor Gregory Justice will direct "Lloyd's Prayer" by Kevin Kling. The play is a contemporary comic parable that calls for up to 10 roles for men and women of all ages. The script is on reserve at the Newman Library Reserve Room.

The second show will be directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts David Johnson. This is a comic trilogy of one act plays by British playwright Peter Barnes titled "The Spirit of Man." This work requires from three to eight men and two women. Sections for the advance reading are available from the Theatre Arts secretary in room 203 of the Performing Arts Building.

Rehearsals for both shows will begin with the first summer school session in early May. Performances are scheduled for June 13-20 at Playhouse 460. For further information, call 231-5200 or 231-5335.
