MARINE RESERVISTS DUE HOME FROM GULF

The Marine reserve company from Roanoke that saw action during the Persian Gulf War is scheduled to return to the United States on Friday.

The 120-member combat engineer company was called to active duty in December and saw action as part of the 2nd Marine Division, which drove toward Kuwait City during the four-day ground war.

Company B, 4th Combat Engineer Battalion is to return to Camp Lejeune, N.C., Friday afternoon. It was unclear when the unit will return to Roanoke.
