BUDNITZ'S 6 GOALS LEAD MAROONS IN LACROSSE

Leigh Budnitz scored six goals and Robin Collinson and Kaylie Small made four each as Roanoke College wrapped up its regular-season home schedule with a 21-4 victory over Sweet Briar in Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's lacrosse Wednesday in Salem.

Collinson also made five assists and Budnitz and Small had one each. The Maroons (10-2 overall, 6-1 in the ODAC) are ranked sixth in the nation in NCAA Division III.

Sweet Briar is 3-9 and 2-4.

The Maroons finish the regular season with a weekend trip to the Northeast for two games. The ODAC tournament begins April 26 with the first two rounds at Bridgewater and the final at Sweet Briar.
