WITNESSES: PSYCHIATRIST WAS GUNMAN

A psychiatrist from Virginia showed no emotion Wednesday as two eyewitnesses identified him as the gunman who killed one man and wounded two others last week on a downtown Philadelphia sidewalk.

Dr. Jean-Claude Pierre Hill of Elberon, Va., was ordered held without bail for trial on murder and other charges.

At the request of his attorney, Hill, 29, will undergo a psychiatric examination. His arraignment was set for May 8.

"The doctor has very limited memory of what happened," said his attorney, Daniel-Paul Alva. `His demeanor is cool, calm and detached, sometimes alarmingly so, which is why I've asked for a psychiatric examination."
