HOW TO ENTER CHILI COOK-OFF

The Roanoke Special Events Committee is accepting entries for the 12th annual Virginia Championship Chili Cook-Off to be held May 4 on the Roanoke City Market.

Entrants must be members or applicants for membership in the International Chili Society.

Chili must be cooked at the cook-off. It will be judged on appearance, aroma, taste, texture and after-taste.

The winner will represent the state at the World's Championship Chili Cook-Off at Tropical Gold Mine in California.

April 29 is the deadline for the $15 entry fee. Call 981-2889 or write the Roanoke Special Events Committee, 210 Reserve Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24016.
