GROSECLOSE, VA. - Mable Lindamood Yonts, age 78, widow of William Grady Yonts, of Groseclose, died early Wednesday at her residence. She was a member of the Fulton United Methodist Church in Groseclose and was preceded in death by two daughters and one grandson. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Hilton, Chula Vista, Calif.; Margaret Sledd, Marion; Mary Snavely, Groseclose; two sons, John M. Yonts, Rushford, Minn.; James W. Yonts, Groseclose; two sisters, Ina Vaught, Wytheville; Helen Stinson, Talbottom, Ga.; one brother, Fred A. Lindamood, Rural Retreat; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday from the Fulton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Groseclose. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time. The family sincerely requests that memorials be made to the Fulton United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home or at the residence at any time. The Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat is in charge of arrangements.
