OBIT-HERRIN, A.

Mrs. Atla Mitchell Herrin, age 81, of Vinton, died Thursday in a Roanoke nursing home. She was a member of the Vinton Baptist Church and a former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a member of the C & P Pioneers. She is survived by one son, David L. Herrin, San Jose, Calif.; three daughters, Joyce Saunders, Chester; June Herrin, Alexandria; Judith Freeman, Roanoke; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 12:00 noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Janet Ramsey and Dr. Bill Ross officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
