ROANOKE AGENCIES WIN VIRGINIA AWARDS

Two Roanoke agencies are winners in the 44th annual Virginia Public Relations Awards, which were presented Thursday in Richmond.

Cited was John Lambert Associates for an annual report it produced for Dominion Bankshares Corp. and Lin Chaff Public Relations for a campaign on behalf of the Town of Vinton. Both received Medallion awards for superior performance.

The program is sponsored by the Old Dominion chapter of the Public Relations Society of American and the Richmond Public Relations Association.

Lin Chaff Public Relations & Advertising of Roanoke won a certificate of merit, or third level award, in a recent competition for the Virginia Public Relations Awards in Richmond. A story last week listed only the firm's medallion or second-level award. Both were for work on behalf of the Town of Vinton.
