SMALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE CANCELED

A Virginia Small Business Conference scheduled in Roanoke next Thursday to address the theme, "Overcoming the Obstacles of the '90s," has been canceled because of lack of interest, its sponsors said Thursday.

The event was planned by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and Roanoke area chambers. An insufficient number of people had registered for the event at the Holiday Inn Tanglewood, said Margaret Baker, acting director of Roanoke Regional Chamber.
