AUTHORITY TO SPEAK ON EASTERN EUROPE

Michael M. Boll, professor of Soviet history and government at San Jose State University, will lecture on past, present and future leadership demands in Eastern Europe April 25 at Clinch Valley College.

His talk will be at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths, and is open to the public.

Boll was a Soviet analyst in the late 1960s for Radio Free Europe in Munich, Germany, and a foreign-service officer in 1970 for the U.S. Information Agency. He was on the Pentagon's policy planning staff in 1980-81 and was a guest lecturer in 1987 for the British Broadcasting Corp. in London. - Southwest bureau
