COMMISSION, BOARD CANDIDATES SOUGHT

Candidates for the Montgomery County Planning Commission and other county commissions and boards are being sought by the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors.

Citizens interested in serving should submit a letter of their intent no later than Monday to County Administrator Betty Thomas at P.O. Box 806, Christiansburg, Va. 24073.

The supervisors are seeking to fill the unexpired term of Sharon McCoy of McCoy on the Planning Commission. McCoy has been unable to attend commission meetings because of her work schedule.

The Planning Commission meets the third Thursday of each month at the county courthouse.

The supervisors also need to fill a three-year appointment to the Human Services Commission, which meets quarterly. A vacancy with a five-year term on the Zoning Appeals Board, which meets on an as-needed basis, also will be filled.

Finally, candidates are needed for a vacancy on the Agency on Aging Board. The board meets the third Thursday of every other month. The appointment would fill an unexpired term ending Oct. 7, 1991.
