Mrs. Virginia Belle Rife, age 88, of Roanoke died Saturday. She is survived by two sons, Max C. Rife, Richmond; Dan Leroy Rife, Hampton; and one daughter, Sarah R. Thomas, Franklin, W.Va. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Elwood McAllister officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Lotz Roanoke Chapel, Franklin Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Southwest Virginia or Penn Forest Christian Church.
