CARROLL COUNTY WINS IN W.VA. TOURNAMENT

Richard Bowman, David Johnson and Jason Stockner combined for six hits and four RBI to lead Carroll County to a 4-3 baseball victory over Richlands in the Coppinger Tournament Saturday.

Daniel Easter was the winning pitcher for the Cavaliers (7-2), striking out nine in six innings of work. Carroll County will play in the championship game of the large school division next Saturday against the Christiansburg-Tazewell winner. - Staff report
