FERRUM, METHODIST SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER

Ferrum downed Methodist 6-3 in game one, then fell 3-2 in the nightcap as the two teams split a doubleheader Saturday.

Kevin Alger picked up the victory for the Panthers in the first game, and Scott Clawson entered in the eighth for the save. Jeff Lamie had two hits and three RBI to power the offense.

In game two, Methodist scored in the bottom of the eighth to break a 2-2 tie and win. Ferrum is 24-5 on the season; Methodist is 22-11.
