ELK MEETING SCHEDULED

Virginia is a long way from elk territory, but Mike Roberts of Evington is certain there are enough elk hunters in the region to organize a chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He has scheduled a meeting Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the Peaks of Otter Lodge for that purpose.

"We take a lot away from that country and it is time we gave back a little bit," he said.
