Mr. and Mrs. William Eugene Hoge of Roanoke announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Kimberly to James Ralph Broom, Jr. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Broom of Lithia Springs, Ga. Susan, a graduate of Virginia Tech, is employed by Limited Express in Charleston, S.C. Mr. Broom is a graduate of Georgia Tech and is employed by Charleston Naval Shipyard. The wedding is planned for August 3 at Cave Spring Baptist Church, Roanoke.
