Fonde Oke Marshall of Roanoke County died Saturday, April 20, 1991. Mr. Marshall served in the European Theatre with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired electrician from the Norfolk & Western Railroad with 30 years service. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Gettes I. Marshall; a nephew, Dr. John Marshall, Newport News; and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Tuesday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Howard A. Foster and the Rev. R. Bruce Griffith Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
