STONE, VELMA B.

Velma Bondurant Stone, age 79 of Huntington, W. Va., died Sunday, December 29, 1991 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington. She was born June 9, 1912 in Franklin County and was the daughter of Jacob and Sallie Ramsey Bondurant. She was member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Millard Johnson and Ernest Stone. Surviving are a loving and devoted sister, Nora Bondurant Hooks, Winston Salem, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Shirley Wells, Martinsville; Linda Tilly, Henry; a niece, Arlene Stone Melton, Huntington, W. Va.; nephews, Jack Stone, New Port Richey, Fla.; Jacob Gerald Stone, North Fort Myers, Fla.; Riley Vestal Stone, Huntington, W. Va., with whom she made her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev's. Wilson Conwell and Steve Tilly officiating. Interment will follow in the Bondurant family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, is in charge of arrangements.
