GRINDSTAFF, LAURA S.

Laura Sue Clamon Grindstaff died Tuesday, December 31, 1991. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Coleman Grindstaff, June 28, 1990. Mrs. Grindstaff is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Grindstaff Brown, Blacksburg; grandchildren, Sherry Matthieson and grandson-in-law, Duane Matthieson, Lexington, Ma.; Karen DeBord and grandson-in-law, Ted DeBord, Blacksburg; great-grandchildren, Tony Hume, Lexington; Katie and Garrett Brown, Virginia Beach; Whitney and Shawn DeBord, Blacksburg. She was a member of Eastern Star in Orlando, Fla. and also a member of the Orlando First Methodist Church. Mrs. Grindstaff moved to Orlando, Fla. from Kingsport, Tenn. in 1948. She has resided at Warm Hearth Village since May 1987, where she was active in the Appalachian Elders writing class. A graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 1, at 1:00 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jack Minnick and the Rev. Eugene Chafin will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg United Methodist Church, 207 Church Street, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060. Arrangements by Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
