STANLEY, FRED N.Fred Nemire Stanley, age 72, of Roanoke, died Monday night, December 30, 1991. Mr. Stanley was a former employee of the Veterans Administration and H. L. Lawson & Sons. He was an active member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, the Woodman of the World and helped with Boy Scout Troup # 229. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Cyphers Stanley; his son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Lynn and Mary McMinnis Stanley, his daughter and son-in-law, Ann Katherine and A. Leroy Dooley, all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Billy and Linda McMinnis, Roanoke; Kevin and Bonnie Dooley, Salem; Melissa Lynn Stanley, Joseph Nemire (Joey) Stanley, Roanoke; brothers, J. Alfred Stanley, Jack L. Stanley, both of Roanoke; Everette J. Stanley, Rocky Mount; a sister, Hattie Stanley Jones, Newport News, Va. Funeral services will be conducted from the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, with the Rev. Jean T. Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
