SMITHERS, BILLY L., SR.

Billy Lewis Smithers Sr., age 54, of 2303 Larchwood St., N.E., died Wednesday, January 1, 1992, in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Iva Jean Smithers; one daughter, Shanna Smithers, Roanoke; three sons, Michael D. Smithers, Blue Ridge; Billy L. Smithers Jr., Roanoke; Timothy M. Smithers, Montvale; two grandchildren, Amber Smithers, Maryland; Michael Smithers Craft, New Castle; and a loving companion, Cocoa. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, with the Rev. Ted Burke officiating. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
