MANNING, ALVIN E.

Alvin E. (Buddy) Manning, age 78 of Roanoke, died Wednesday, January 1, 1992, at the Raleigh Court Health Care Center. He was a retired painter with Hesse and Hurt. He was a member of the Riverdale Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his son, Wayne A. Manning. Surviving are his wife, Addie Hannabass Manning; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Donna Manning, Vinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda G. and David Sears, Myrtle Beach, S. C.; seven grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Judy Manning Newman, Roanoke; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Randolph Dunkley, Ruth and Nelson Baldwin, all of Roanoke; Gertrude and Jack Smith, Newport News; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3. Burial will be in Fair View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
